North Coast Tours

Wee Buses Belfast offer private tours around the beautiful sights that the North Coast has to offer. You will travel in your own private vehicle with one of our experienced and knowledgeable drivers. Our wee buses are equipped with complimentary WIFI, aircon, and charging ports to ensure you are comfortable for the trip and ready to enjoy your day trip.

Sit back, relax and take in the picturesque scenery along the North Coast. From the Glens of Antrim to the crashing waves of the Atlantic Ocean. You will soon find yourself at the foot of Northern Ireland's only World Heritage Site, The Giant’s Causeway.

Some people say the amazing basalt pillars of the Giant’s Causeway were formed by a volcanic eruption over 60 million years ago. The locals believe it was built by a giant named Finn MacCool, as a bridge across the sea. When you visit the Giants Causeway on one of our North Coast Tours you will learn all about the area and its geology as well as hearing the story of Finn MacCool. You can decide for yourself what you believe is the real story behind this iconic landmark.

Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge, which spans 20m in length and sits 30m from the jagged rocks below, it is enough to make even the bravest think twice. Once you cross the thrilling bridge you will find a small cottage on the parcel of land connected to the bridge. This cottage was lived in and built by fishermen living at Carrick-a-Rede.

For the Whiskey lovers, your drivers will take you to visit the Old Bushmills Distillery, one of the oldest licensed distilleries in the world. If you want, you can drop in to learn more about this historic place, its part in Northern Ireland’s distilling history, and try out some of their amazing whiskeys.

After this, your driver will take you to Dunluce Castle - a mediaeval castle that has exchanged hands throughout the years, slowly eroding away into the Atlantic Ocean. This location was also the set of the House of Greyjoy in Game of Thrones.
For fans of the HBO hit show Game of Thrones, the north coast boasts an abundance of filming locations that your driver can also take you to. Northern Ireland was home to many of the kingdom’s of Game of Thrones and the stunning coastal scenery created many dramatic backdrops. Our tour takes you to:

  • Carnlough’s Steps – Where Arya escapes the Waif
  • Cushendun Caves – Where Melisandre birthed a dark spirit in front of a shocked Sir Davos
  •  Larrybane – Location of Renly Baratheon’s Camp and first appearance of Brienne
  •  Ballintoy Harbour – Setting of the Iron Islands where many iconic scenes took place such as Theon rededicating his faith to ‘drowned gods’.
  • Dark Hedges – Where Arya and Gendry made their escape from King’s Landing.

Our tour ends with a relaxed drive back to Belfast which will give you time to recount all the amazing scenery and attractions you saw that day.
